Mohill is a delightful market town that has lots to offer.
There are quiet country roads for walking or cycling, and no shortage of lakes and rivers for fishing, boating or just relaxing at the water’s edge.
Go boating on the Shannon or meander on the revitalized canal linking the Shannon with Lough Erne: Carrick-on-Shannon, Ballinamore and Keshcarrigan are all within 15-20 minutes drive.
The area around Mohill has had a long history of horse-riding and there are numerous equestrian centres where you can enjoying trekking by the hour.
A number of Golf Clubs are within easy driving distance from Mohill: Ballinamore, Carrick-on-Shannon and Longford - not to mention facilities at Lough Rynn Castle and Kilronan Castle.

Mohill is off the N4, between Longford and Carrick-on-Shannon.
Once in Mohill, follow the signs for Lough Rynn Castle.
When you get to crossroads at the centre of the town, orient yourself so that Early's Undertakers is on your left and continue on. You should pass the O’Carolan Monument about 200m down the street. At the Y junction, follow the road to the right; in about 50m you’ll pass Central Motors on your left (with car sales to your right). Start slowing down! Coolabawn House is about 100m farther on on the right.
